Lake Covada National Park is located in the province of Isparta in the region of Egirdir. The area of the national park is 6551 hectares. The park is home to 153 species of waterfowl. Wild animals such as foxes, badgers, martens, wolves, mountain goats, wild boars and squirrels live in the park.
361 species of plants grow in the forest. Trees such as shaggy oak, Macedonian oak, thuja, spruce, sycamore maple, flowering ash, ash with sharp fruits decorate the nature of the park with shades of yellow, brown, red. 28 out of 361 plants have endemic species. White oaks reach 25-30 meters in height and almost two meters in diameter. This tree was formerly used to make barrels and flexible materials.
Unplanned entry into the forest is prohibited. Individuals or groups wishing to visit the forest must obtain a permit and make an appointment with the Isparta Nature Conservation and National Park Authority. The entry is usually assigned to those who wish to travel for scientific and educational purposes.
